Cadillac Repair: Engine Light, code displays, climate control

I have a 97 Seville. I had a new engine installed, but the engine light still comes on. Can i reset it, or is there something wrong with this engine?

Answer
Check the computer for CODES:

1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control opanel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Codes will appear in the form of LETTERS and NUMBERS along with the word CURRENT or HISTORY with each code displays.

4. The codes will stop when you see PCM?


5. Let me know EXACTLY everything you see on the display prior to seeing the PCM?

6. turn ignition OFF.
