Cadillac Repair: 90 cadillac error code, professional locksmith, cadillac deville

i have a '90 cadillac deville..car has been sitting for a while.. replaced battery.. had a new key cut..
now i get "remove key & wait 4 minutes" messsage every time I try to start the car.... HELP  !!!

To copy the original factory key:

1. use an OHM meter on the ignition key and see how many OHMS the key reads. You have to purchase an identical key that has the same OHMS READING as the factory key and then have it cut to fit the cylinder.
