Cadillac Repair: Air conditioner, diagnostic chart, front wheel drive

Hi, I have a 1989 Sedan deville 4.5 v8 front wheel drive. The diagnostic display showed two nunbers F-11 and F-49. i did clear these and they have not come back YET. What do these numbers indicate. Problem im having is getting the ac compressor to engage. Thank You

F11 = AC high side temp circuit problem.

F49 = High temp clutch disengaged (AC clutch.

You can try replacing the high side temp sensor. Once it is replaced, CLEAR (erase) the codes from the computer BEFORE starting the car and trying the AC.
