How do I remove rear air shock. I am unable to hold the shaft while I turn the 24mm nut on top. The OEM shock has electonics inside the shaft the replacement does not?

I have never encountered not being able to remove the top nut.

You can always cut away the rubber bushings from the top of the strut and get a pair of vise grips on the lower portion of the threads or shaft of the strut.

You MUST replace the strut/shock with the identical strut/shock as the electrical wires and the air tube MUST be reinstalled or you will have a check engine light illumination and or a display message stating a fault in the system on your dash.
