A friend of mine just bought a 1996 seville for dirt cheap. Everything runs Mint except it has no working dash illumination, or heater control info. i'm doubting its a fuse or someone would have fixed along the line, which is probably why it was so cheap. a few pointers where to check or even just a schematic would do.

Answer -
The first things he has to do is send the dash display cluster out for repair to get the UPDATES installed in the cluster and to replace the BCM computer with a REBUILT that has all the UPDATES done to it also.

is the BCM a part of the cluster or is it downstream? where would one find it... a schematic of the harness would be great, i just want to know if its definatly the dash cluster or bcm thats NFG before pulling it apart ans sending it out.
