Cadillac Repair: Cadillac wont start, caddi, solenoid

Question -
I have the 1991 caddi and i sent the email a couple of days ago.  The solenoid still isn't getting any power with the key being held in the start position either.  I did get the car to start by bridging the starter what could be the problem
