I recently stepped down on my emergency brake.  When I tried to start my car the brake would not release.  Is there anything that I can do. I have a 1993 cadillac seville

If you look up under the dash just above where you step on the emergency brake pedal you will find a manual release lever that will disengage the emergency brake.
