Cadillac Repair: 1996 STS stalls when stopping, cadillac questions, cadillac vehicles
QuestionI purchased a 96' STS back in Oct. 101k miles. My husband took car to the dealership to have a diagnostics perform. The Cadillac dealership stated car was in perfect condition. First fuel pump replaced, second alternator belt replaced, third air compressor replaced and fourth water pump. Now whenever I drive this vehicle and come to a stop and pressing the brake, it will cut-off. It doesn't do this all the time. It will always crank back up without any hesitation. Can you tell me what could be the problem, or do I need to get rid of this car!
AnswerI worked for GM for many many years mostly with cadillac. Although I should NOT say this, I still get more Cadillac questions and Cadillac vehicles to repair than any other GM vehicle.
This should pretty well tell you what I would do in your case. Cadillac is a never ending repair vehicle of which I have never owned. I have 2 Chevy, 2 Ford's and a Jeep.
