Cadillac Repair: Tail Light left side, harness connector, test light

My turn light on the left side it out I checked the bulb and it is fine, I have replaced the wiring for that side but it still goes out.  If I give the housing a light tap the light comes back on and works fine.  I had this problem with my 94 seville but I just changed the wiring.

Hi Johnathan, There is obviously a loose connection or faulty bulb that is causing the problem. Since you replaced the wiring and tapping the housing makes the bulb work then I would hold the bulb in my hand a thump the glass litely with a finger and watch to see that the element doesn't break or come loose. Otherwise use a 12 volt test light or voltmeter and see where you loose your connection. Is it a power or ground wire and do you loose it at the bulb socket or is it still there at the harness connector? Hope that helps. Bill
