Cadillac Repair: 87 Seville fuse no.18, motor mechanic, tank unit

Hi Bill
I'm a motor mechanic in Melbourne Australia
I have a customer with an '87 Seville that keeps blowing fuse no.18 IGN I-ISO
every time this happens the indicators stop working, LOW FUEL message comes up, BATTERY VOLTS 6 warning & GEAR SELECTOR PROBLEM 27 appear in display centre.
I need to know what systems this fuse protects and also if there is a common problem that you might know of.

Hi Moni, That fuse protects the turn signal/hazzard module, info center, body computor, gear selector switch,auto door lock module, and fuel tank unit. As far as common problems I really haven't seen any. What I would do is install a circuit breaker in place of the fuse and unplug the differant devices until it stops tripping the breaker.
