Cadillac Repair: over heating, coolant temp, cooling fan

91 Eldorado, temp is fine while driving. When I park the water in the plastic fill tank bubbles & boils considerably.Car temp goes up to 230.

Hi Ray, With the engine cold verify that the anti freeze is at the top of the radiator. Then warm the engine up and make sure the thermostat opens. Then check that the cooling fan turns on. You could have a faulty thermostat or coolant temp switch for the fans. Around 210 is when the fans should turn on. Bill
