I heard that it was possible to upgrade or convert a 4100 to 4.5 is this possible.

Hi Kevin, Yes I think it could be done. In fact you might even be able to change it to the 4.9 liter also because all three engines use removeable cylinder liners. The tricky part would be to get the heights correct once the matched piston and liner were installed by useing a liner height gage. If you don't get them set right then the o-rings at the bottom of the liner will leak and ruin the rebuild job.  Bill
