Chevrolet Repair: FUEL FILTER, chevy colorado, fuel rail
QuestionI HAVE A 2004 CHEVY COLORADO 4x4 Z71 with 43,000 miles. It started doing a slight bucking action on the highway about 1 hour into my trip. I did have a heavy load in the bed. I believe I need to change the fuel filter (it has never been changed before) but I cannot locate it. Where would it be?
AnswerThere is no fuel filter for your truck. GM stopped putting them on the fuel rail starting in that year. They do have a filter but is part of the fuel pump assembly in the tank at about 600 bucks. Wish I could be more help. If you give me an idea of when it bucks let me know, I might be able to help
