Chevrolet Repair: 4.3 vortect, water temp, temp sensor

service engine light came on with 32000 miles the computer code po128 say the water temp is not right it stays at 110 and i think should be about 195 but the van runs fine it just came back from a long trip with no problems have any ideas  i dont think its the thermostat is there a sensor that would cause this

If the computer sees a low regulating temperature it will flag the system with an error because emissions will be higher.  It probably needs a thermostat. If the temp sensor for the gauge and computer are different.  The system is probably reading a correct low temp.
