Chevrolet Repair: problem with my 2001 chevy silverado, chevy silverado, valve cover

there is a ticking noise on the engine by the valve cover but the truck runs good is just that noise and a mechanic checked the truck and he said that it looks like a lifter or a rocket some like that or he said that i need to put a new engine put the trucks runs great is just that noise

Needs new engine because of a rocker noise?  I don't think so.  Have your technician pull the valve cover and make sure it isn't the rocker.  It might be a lifter or a worn cam but I wouldn't suggest pulling the motor for something like that.
