Chevrolet Repair: spark plug problem, liter engine, coil pack

I have a 1994 cavalier with a 3.1 liter engine and I replaced the coil packs but now when I hooked up the wires it back fires so I think the wires are hooked up wrong can you explain to me in the most simple way to do this

I am pretty sure that the coil pack order is 14 36 25.  YOu will need to find # 1 wire which is the wire that is on the rear head closest to the passenger side and recheck your firing order.  If in doubt check a chilton manual and see if that will give you a better explanation.
