Chevrolet Repair: cruise control, cruise control, 4wd

I ave a 1994 chevy silerado 4wd with a 5.0 engine. i use the cruise control alot  and lately  soom times i go to put in on and it doesnt work and sometimes it does  I checked to fuse and its ok  and you can here the switch click by the brake pedal when you press it  what can it be, evey thing works in the truck and i want to keep it that way, it has 112000 miles on it   thanks

Hi Joe, Without testing the system my bet is that the switch on the lever is bad. You can buy just the lever, sometimes it plugs in at the top and other times you need to run the wire down the column.
