Chevrolet Repair: 1996 Chevy Blazer Hesitation, chevy blazer, last legs
QuestionHey.. I own a used '96 Blazer that has intense hesitation when first starting out. It only happens when its stopped a certain way (It gets rough running, then you go forward/backward a lil bit and its fine)
Also, when I stop the oil pressure goes down to about 20 I believe it is, and when I hit my brakes it seems like the electrical system surges... My lights go dim but them come back full force.
Please help me figure out my problems!
AnswerHi Tyler, THe most common part to go bad is the ignition coil wire. You can just buy the coil wire but at this age you should replace all the wires along with the dist cap and rotor.
Oil pressure seems ok. The lights will dim some when you come to a stop a little bit. The weaker the battery is the more they will dim. Battery might be on it's last legs.
Hope this helps
