Chevrolet Repair: stalling, fuel flow, fuel pump

99 tahoe. a few times now when i go to start the truck it fires up and dies right away(2 secs or so) every time i try it. then if i try it again a few hours later it is just fine. then a week or two later same thing. fuel pump comes on when i turn key on and theres enough fuel to start it for a sec or two when it is happening. no one i know has a clue and i dont want to fix things that are not bad. thanks.

Sounds like intermittently the security system is shutting down the fuel flow.  These trucks have a passlock sensor and if it doesnt get the correct reading it will allow the truck to start but die out.  After a half hour or so it has reset allowing the truck to start.  Take your tahoe and have it scan tested for codes relating to the security system within a day or two of it failing
