Chevrolet Repair: belt, tensioner pulley, pully
Questionhow do i tighten my belt on a 96 2.2l cavalier
AnswerWell I beleive that should have a tensioner pulley. If it's not getting tight enough either the pulley itself has gotten weak or the belt has gotten old and stretched. If the pulley is weak(and you should be able to tell by how much force you have to use to move it) then replacing the pully should fix the problem. If not then you should probably replace the belt.
