What is the axle nut size on a 02 chevy cavalier? thanks...

Hi Sean,

It is metric.  Probably 19mm, or 21mm.  If you have a metric 4-way, one size will fit.  A standard size 4-way should also have a close size.  

Is there a reason you ask?  Is the nut all messed up?  Sometimes, Chevy uses a capped nut, and corrosion grows under the cap.  Makes the cap fat.  Then a normal socket won't fit correctly.  In this case, use a 12 point socket that is snug fitting.  Smack it on the capped nut and use a breaker bar.  You will marr the finish of the capped nut, but it is bad anyway.  Replace this nut.
