Chevrolet Repair: 1988 C1500 - R134 Conversion, auto parts stores, conversion kit

Question
Can I convert my 1988 C1500 Truck's A/C to R134? The system still works but is low on R12 and doesn't cool very well.  What all needs to be replaced to convert the system?  I assume I would need to replace at least the drier and the expansion valve.  Where is the expansion valve located?  Do I need to replace any of the hoses or o-rings?  Thank you.

Hi Chris, You can buy a conversion kit at most auto parts stores. I have just added the oil and fittings after draining the system of it's freon. Now evac the system and charge with freon. I have never had a problem or had anyone come back with a problem. To simple right!!
