Chevrolet Repair: turn signal flasher, steering column, turn signal flasher

Question
where is the turn signal flasher on a 93 lumina 2dr-6 3.1L 6Cyl.  I have asked all the parts stores and everyone has given me a different answer and none of them have been right yet.

Hello Brian, Yes this is a tough one because they always put the flasher unit in a different place from year to year. It is near the steering column in most cases. I think yours is to the right of the column and mounted to a bracket where you can even see it. You'll need to lay on the floor and look back into the dash I believe. Some times you can hit the dash with your hand (with the key on and the turnsignal on)and the flasher will start flashing and making noise.
