Chevrolet Repair: 88 Cavalier VSS problem, axle shaft, trans case

Question
I have a 88 Cavalier with an intermittent code 24 speed sensor alarm. The ECM , MAP and the park reverse switch have been replaced. Comes on after about 15 minutes.

Hi Randy, the first thing to check is the speed sensor itself. Make sure the wiring is good at  the sensor and that the sensor isn't loose and worn out. If all looks good i would replace the speed sensor. It is located where the right axle shaft comes out of the trans and is on the top side of the trans case, you'll see it.
