Chevrolet Repair: s10, plug wires, engine compartment

i have a 2000 s10 4.3 it happens at random but from a stop sounds like 1st gear it will stumble hop and jerk but will not do it in any other gears do you have any clue if its the engine or tranny or anything thanks for your help

Hello Josh, this is one that i would need to drive and feel to give you a answer. If want try this, spray down the engine with a garden hose, you might as well do the complete engine compartment just to clean it. Now start the engine and see it runs bad, drive it too right away. If it does, replace the dist cap,rotor and plug wires.
