Chevrolet Repair: tail lights / turn signal, turn signals, stepdad

no i havent had any work done. my stepdad just bought it for me n neither of us noticed it till i had to go to work one night... they just wont work

Question -
When I turn on my headlights, my tail lights will not come on, and when I flip the right turn signal, all of my brake lights blink really fast. What could be the problem?

Have you had any work to the taillights? Such as trailer hitch installed?
Maybe installed a fifth light in the rear window?

Answer
The problem is that there is too much resistance in the wire going to the turn signals.
Look for a set of trailer wires that were installed prior to the purchase of your vehicle.When and if you find them, remove them and re-route the wires back to the original wires. They should match up color wise.
If there is no trailer wires, write back.
