Chevrolet Repair: Heater Fan Motor Replacement, chev cavalier, purple wire

How do I check or replace the heater fan motor on a 1996 Chev Cavalier and or where is it located.

Answer
Test with test light for power.
Should be thick purple wire.
most of the time it is Located on the passenger side under the hood. Looks like a funky hat!
DISCONNECT the battery. remove the screws and two bolts holding the coil-looking temperature device. Install opossite of removal.
