Chevrolet Repair: 95 S10 4.3 (W) EGR problems, egr valve, sea foam

I have a problem with carbon getting stuck in the egr valve. Is there a egr gasket available with a screen or do I have to make something up? Also, is there an effective way to clean out the carbon?

Yes, there is a screen and gasket I have heard. I would think any major parts house would have it.

Sea Foam is a product I have heard a lot about, but I have never personally tried it. Google search for sea foam.
