Chevrolet Repair: hatch latch, hatch latch, chev blazer

i have a 1998 chev blazer and latly whenever i lift the door handles to open the doors the hatch in back unlatches any ideas also sometimes when i push the button on the tailgate to unlatch the hatch nothing happens

Hi Terry, I had a Blazer doing this a while back and do think I can remember what it was, no! But I think it is in the rear push button switch. The switch is activating the latch when you unlock the truck. I would start there with a new switch. They get corroded and power goes where ever,when ever.
