Chevrolet Repair: no gas, rubber line, steel line

Question
1982 Corvette  You can hear the motor on the fuel pump running but no fuel coming  out of the line yes  there is gas in the tank.

Answer
Remove the rubber line from the steel line at the fuel pump and see if you get any fuel from the rubber line at the fuel tank.

It is possible that the plastic impeller on the fuel pump has broken off of the pump, Thus no fuel will be pumped.

Did you check to see if the fuel filter was plugged up ?
