2 quick (I hope) questions

1. what is the red line on the 4.3L non-vortec V6 from this year (its the 165 hp version)

2. when you use the right turn signal or the cruise control, the wipers will run. they may only wipe once, or they may go 20 times. Is it the control arm? (all these controls are on the same arm)

I have no idea on the red line...I don't get into racing etc.
As for the signals, it would probably be either in the switch, or just an adjustment of it.
But I suspect the switch is worn out. This link may be some help on that subject.
