Chevrolet Repair: four weel drive, gm trucks, chevytalk

My  four weel drive quit working all at once I was told it was the four weel drive switch, does the four weel drive indecater switch activate the actuator ?

I have no idea what kind of vehicle you have....
On a lot of GM trucks there is an actuator that causes some problems, and there are switches.
Normally, the actuator activates the indicator light.
