Answer -
If you have noise in the transfer case the most likely cause is a faulty solenoid within the transfer case and or an external actuator failure depending upon the TYPE of transfer case that is in the vehicle.
has there been ANY mechanical work performed on this vehicle recently ?.
autohelp Yees We replaced the actuator in the front defferential.. Nows what Plrase. Larry
AnswerIs the front differentail actuator working CORRECTLY since you replaced it ?. Did you TEST it ?.
Look for any other external actautors at the transfer case and or any pinched, loose or leaking vacuum lines going to the transfer case.
Depending upon what TYPE of transfer case you have either vacuum controlled or electronic solenoid controlled indicates the test procedures to perform.
There may be a fault in the electrical selector shift control switch.
You really need to borrow a service manual in order to perform the test procedures as trying to type out ALL the test procedures would be never ending.
