Chevrolet Repair: 1997 Cavalier wont start, volume test, pressure and volume
QuestionOn my way home from work my cavalier suddenly stopped running and I can't get it to start up again. The radio, lights, and air all work. The engine turns over but just won't run. I had no previous problem.
AnswerThe first thing you need to determine is, Do you have a FUEL or IGNITION problem before we can get into any diagnostics.
Perform a fuel pump pressure and volume test using an external fuel pump pressure teater and using a helper see if you have any ignition to the spark plugs. Pull a couple of spark plugs and see what color the electrode ends are.
Perform the above tests and let me know your results.
