Chevrolet Repair: over heating, radiator cooling fan, chevy lumina

I have a 96 Chevy Lumina mini van, and for some reason the fan won't turn on to cool the motor down.  It is fine as long as I am moving but if I let it sit it heats up.

Hi Nick, The most common thing with this is the radiator cooling fan motor. They go bad a lot, sometimes when the engine is hot and the fan should be on you can tap on the fan motor and it will start up. This way you that fan motor is no good.
