Chevrolet Repair: Missing at High Idle, 1992 chevy lumina, chevy lumina

I have a 1992 Chevy Lumina 3.1, When I bring it up to high idle it pulsates up and down really fast, Any Ideas?

Hello Roger,
I would check the fuel pressure and see if it drops during that time. A restricted filter could cause that.
There are of course other things like broken valve springs, loose timing chain, EGR valve, etc, but the filter is a cheap place to start.
