Chevrolet Repair: 89 Chevy Astrovan, chevy astrovan, oil stains

My '89 Astrovan is hemoraging oil and leaving unsightly oil stains where ever I park.

Lately I have to pour in another bottle every two or three days its leaking so fast. I can tell by the lifter and pinging noise when oil is really low.

A shop recently replaced the oil filter but did not get to the source of the leak.

Where should I look, and what do you suggest?

step one bend over and get under neath car
setp 2 look for oil dripage or source of leak
step 3 try to fix said source so it dont leak anymore
step 4 check the filler neck, filter,and all other places oil could be coming from.

other that that, i hope that helps some..

i suggest to carry alot of oil and a section of cardboard to place under engine so leaks drip on it instead of someone driveway.
