what is the compression so post to be on a 76 newport 400

Hi Chris,
The oldest shop manual I have is for  1983.
The 318 cubic inch V-8 (in the '83 manual) is shown as 8.6 to 1 compression ratio with a minimum compression reading (engine warm, all plugs removed, throttle wide-open) of 100 pounds per square inch with a maximum variation between cylinders of 40 psi.
