Chrysler Repair: PT Cruiser problem, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor
QuestionMy 2002 PT Cruiser has a 4 cylinder engine, auto transmission and 154,000 KM...the engine has started cutting out on me..or not starting for a couple of hours.
Basically I'm driving along the RPM drops and the engine dies..the battery is still functioning. I got a code on the odometer that said P0320 when I looked that up it indicated a crankshaft sensor signal problem..(I know I need a new timing belt too) my mechanic friend changed the camshaft sensor (because its a cheaper part than crankshaft)but that didn't help. I want to know how accurate these codes are?? I'm worried I'll pay all this money to change crankshaft and it won't fix problem.
Answeryour mechanic fried must not know anything about cars if he wanted to replace a cam sensor because its cheaper then the crank sensor WTF is that?? the 320 code is for the crank sensor so have him replace the crank sensor then see what U have from there.
