Chrysler Repair: old secret?, comet cleanser, pt barnum

Can I pour comet cleanser down the carb of my 1979 dodge 440
while it is running...to hone the block and lap the valves?
I know it sounds nuts,but I remember this from many yrs. ago.

I would recommend that before doing so you should take out all the spark plugs and carefully insert about 6 inches of rope in all cylinders and then crank the engine over a few times, This will help to fully seat any bent valves. Next, reinstall the spark plugs, run the engine at 3000 RPM's and pour 2 cups of finely chopped walnut shells into the carberator to clean the carbon from the intake manifold and valves. And I would also recommend that you pour a bottle of liquid glass in the engine, while it's running of course, to seal up any potential head gasket sealing issues.
