Chrysler Repair: 2006 Chrysler 300, steering wheel lock, 2006 chrysler 300

Question
Yesterday the malfunction light came on.  I took it in for a diagnostic test and the codes state the EGR valve needs replacing.  Then this morning, while I'm drving my children to school the steering wheel locked up WHILE I WAS DRIVING.  Is there any way these two things are related?

I don't think so, but I will check the manual and get back if I do find anything like that.

Follow up to your comment: You asked me if the egr code could be related to the steering wheel lock up. I didn't believe there could be. Please tell me what Autozone thought was the relationship. I try to be helpful, but I found nothing that would relate, as you asked. Sorry to have disappointed you. I seldom get such 'low marks'.
