Chrysler Repair: Headlights suddenly go off, new car warranty, us government web
Question2009 Town & Country van.......headlights will suddenly go off??? It didn't have running lights so I had them put and didn't work right.... They took them off to go back to previous lights... Now suddenly they turn off at random. TY
AnswerHi Jenny,
If the original circuit/wiring has been modified then I would take it back to whoever did that job and ask them to fix it at no cost to you. The vehicle may also be under the original new car warranty so Chrysler Corp. may take some responsibility.
I don't have the wiring diagrams for a vehicle that new, nor do I know how it has been modified. So go back and try to get those who modified it or those who built the vehicle (e.g. Chrysler) to fix it so that it is safe. Driving without reliable headlights is not safe and whoever caused this problem should fix it at no further cost to you. You can file a complaint at the US government web site for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administation (NHTSA.gov) and you can contact the regional service representative of the Chrysler Corporation for help.
