Chrysler Repair: 2002 chrysler wiper problems, chrysler sebring, sebring lx

i have a 2002 Chrysler sebring lx, when i go to my wipers they fail to function normally, as in low, med, or high.  but when i pull the arm back towards me as if to use the wiper fluid the wipers then function.  i have no idea what it could be, someone mention a sensor.  is there a sensor for this problem and where is it located??

Hi Raul,
That sounds to me like a poor contact inside the switch itself (that the arm is attached to). I would start by getting a pressure can of electrical contact cleaner and using a straw applicator spray the inside of the switch so as to clean the internal contact surfaces. If that doesn't work, then a new switch is probably the fix.
