Chrysler Repair: Pacifica 2004 radiator relay, radiator fan, negative cable
QuestionI am trying to validate if the relay is defective. I have jumped the contact on the output side of the connector and am now able to drive the fans. However I am not seeing an expected 12v control signal to the input of the relay when the car begins to overheat! Please confirm if a I've control signal should be present? If so please advise where the next point of the trouble shoot can be conducted? Note: I've is present at the fuse in the engine compartment
AnswerREMOVAL
Open hood.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Partiacially remove the front fascia to gain access to the radiator fan relay (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE - REMOVAL).
Disconnect the relay electrical connector (RADIATOR FAN RELAY).
Remove the rivet attaching the relay to the front bumper beam (RADIATOR FAN RELAY).
Remove the relay.
