Questioncar wont start lights and radio come on though what could it be?please help me asap
AnswerHi Ali,
Do you hear a 'click' when you turn the key to 'start'. If not, then try moving the gear shifter slightly off-center in the park or neutral position in case that safety interlock is out of adjustment.
If you do hear a click then either the battery is weak or the starter motor is flakey, or the battery cable clamps are not tight at the battery or otherwise not making a good connection. The current requirements of the starter motor are much higher than for the lights/radio so you could have a weak/discharged battery.
How old is the battery compared to it warranty life?
If you write back tell me the the year/make/model/engine size.
Check the battery cable clamps for being clean and tightly connected. But don't touch the + clamp without first removeing the - clamp. And put them back on in the reverse order: + clamp first, then - clamp.
