QuestionQUESTION: I have a 97 chrysler sebring. When it warms up to just after a 1/4 on the temp gauge it stalls and after about 5-10 min it starts.
dist replaced last year .Coolant temp censor changed last week.crank censor replaced 2 months ago.thermostat removed last week ...would it help to take a screw-driver and pry of all the Chrysler emblems??
ANSWER: Hi Don,
It does sound like a failure of one of the sensors which self-repairs when it cools down. Havyou tried to get fault codes using a diagnostic readout box? Autozone parts stores will often do that for free, or an independent shop for under $40. Let me know the numbers and we'll go from there.

Sorry for the delay, but my computer failed recently.

QUESTION: I've tried both the key and OBD coder reader. No codes are stored....thanx.
AnswerHi Don,
Without codes, about all I can suggest is that you wait until it won't restart after cool-down and then check for codes. It may be that a sensor is failing but not being detected as the cause.
I don't think that the key will give you codes in a '97 so you may need to carry along a code reader.
