Chrysler Repair: 2004 PT Cruiser temp sensor r&r, coolant, cooling system

Question
can anyone tell me how to go about removing the temp sensor
there is not much room to get to it .
do l have to remove any item out of its way to get to it

Hi Joe,
According to the '02 manual I have for the PT, you would do well to remove the battery for better access. If you are going to remove and replace it, you should drain down the cooling system to prevent loss of coolant from squirting out when you remove the old one, or have the new one in your hand and ready to insert when you remove it.
