Chrysler Repair: 94 chrysler new yorker: fuel shut off?, chrysler new yorker, fuel pump relay
QuestionWhere is the fuel shutoff switch
AnswerIf you want to shut off the fuel pump you can go to the box in the engine compartment, just behind the battery, which contains the fuses and relays. The fuel pump relay is the only only one that is not on the edge of the box, e.g. it is closer to the rear than the front of the box and slightly inboard of center. It has three fuses next to it. Pull that relay out of its socket and that will stop the fuel pump from running. However, under normal conditions that pump would not run unless the engine were also running or trying to be started. Do you believe that the pump is running even though the engine is off?
