Chrysler Repair: 1997 Sebring JXi left door lock, latch, sebring

Door lock will not operate from switch on either door or from key fob.  Lock knob on door does operate.  There is a whirring or buzzing noise from within the door when activating the switch or key fob.  A similar, though shorter, sound occurs when unlocking door with key.

Hi Victor,
I believe you will need to remove the door trim panel and then remove the door lock motor and the latch mechanism to understand what is wrong. Let me know a postal mailing address and I can send you the instructions. In the meantime I will try to find a version on line which I can give you as a follow-up answer, but if I can't your address will be useful for postal mailing.
