Chrysler Repair: idling rough, chrysler voyager, egr valve

what would cause my 2000 Chrysler voyager to idle rough when its in drive or if im driving it for a while then come to a light and have to stop it its start to idle rough like it will go from 1000 rpm to 500 then back up?

Hi Erik,
My first suspicion, without doing a fault code readout, would be that the egr valve is sticking ajar and not closing which is what it has to do for you to have a good idle. So take a look at that. You didn't say which of several engine you might have so I can't tell you specifically where to find it and what to do.
